The media is full of conflicting messages about “green” products. We hear about many efforts that sound good, but most come with hidden environmental costs that are rarely discussed. Recycling is a good example. It takes energy to collect and sort waste, not to mention the energy required to recycle carpet into carpet or to turn plastic bottles into flooring.

Why not choose a product that is naturally natural? Our natural flooring and rugs are made from sisal, seagrass, and mountain grass—all of which are renewable, sustainable, and biodegradable. The farmers we work with have been practicing their craft for centuries, with respect for their land and their people. These crops support their culture and are part of an ecosystem that sustains life, preserves the earth, and improves our future.
